General Admissions Arrangements
Our linked area includes the villages of Braunston, Onley and Onley Park. We also have a significant number of children who live in Daventry and attend Braunston School.
The Academy Governance Committee (AGC) have delegated responsibility for admissions in our school and are therefore responsible for all admissions. Places are allocated according to our Admissions Policy which you will find in the key files in the sidebar.

Admission to the Reception Class
Children are able to start at Braunston School in the September following their 4th birthday. We have good links with Braunston Pre-School, allowing a smooth transition from pre-school to the reception class and also have children joining us from other nurseries and pre-schools. Applications for reception can be made in the autumn term. The deadline is 15th January
Applications must be made through the local authority where you live.If you live in Northamptonshire, to apply you will need to complete a West Northamptonshire Council form. West Northants Primary School Places

To apply for an in-year school place at our school, please complete the application form HERE. All applications are managed by our Trust (rather than the Local Authority).
You will be contacted within 15 school days to let you know if a place can be offered.
Admission Appeals
If you have applied and been refused a place at our school (in any year group), you are entitled to appeal against that decision.
Appeals for PDET academies are administered by The Diocese of Peterborough Education team. For more information on the process please see: Appeals Procedure
If you wish to appeal please contactthe Appeals Administrator by emailing and ask for an appeals pack. The pack includes some explanatory notes about the process of Admission Appeals and a Notice of Appeal form that, should you decide to proceed with an appeal, will need to be completed and returned by email if possible, but if not, to the Diocesan Office instead.

The school has taken part in a major research project looking at effective ways for developing character education opportunities in schools. We have worked with the DFE, The Peterborough Diocese, The Church of England Education Office and Canterbury Christchurch University. The school's work has been highly commended and the film clip below was shared at the national conference in London as an example of best practice.
